ANTIOX

Indication

Effective for the treatment of single or mixed worm infestations by roundworm, whipworm, hookworm, pinworm, threadworm and tapeworm

Dosage

ONE DOSE:
Choco flavor 500 mg Tablet to be taken as a single-dose.
Choco flavor 10 ml Suspension to be taken as a single-dose.

THREE-DAY TREATMENT:
100 mg Tab: 100 mg to be taken BID for 3 consecutive days.
30 ml Susp: 5 ml to be taken BID for 3 consecutive days.

Contraindication

Pregnancy.

Special Precaution

Children <1 yr.

Adverse Reaction

Transient abdominal pain.

DAKTARIN CREAM

Generic

Miconazole nitrate.

Indications

Skin infections due to dermatophytes or yeasts & other fungi.
Mycoses secondarily infected w/ gm+ve bacteria.

Dosage

Apply bid for 2-6 wk. Continue treatment at least 1 wk after symptoms disappear.

IMODIUM

Generic

Loperamide HCI.

Indication

Listed in Dosage.

Dosage

Acute diarrhea: Adult Initially 2 cap. Subsequent dose: 1cap after every loose stool. Max: Adult 6 cap/day.
Chronic diarrhea: Adult Initially 2 cap. Adjust dose until 1-2 normal solid stools/day are obtained. Maintenance: 1-6 cap daily.
*Maximum dose for acute and chronic diarrhea is 6 capsules per day.

Contraindication

When inhibition of peristalsis is to be avoided. Children <12 yr.

Special Precaution

Hepatic dysfunction.

Adverse Reaction

Dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain.

NIZORAL SHAMPOO

Generic

Ketoconazole.

Indication

1% ( Regular Treatment): For treatment of mild to moderate dandruff and its symptoms of scalp flaking, itching , and scaling.
2% ( Maximum Treatment): For treatment of moderate to heavy dandruff and its symptoms of scalp flaking, itching , and scaling.

Dosage

Wet hair. Massage onto scalp. For best results, leave on for 3 to 5 minutes. Rinse. For treatment, use twice a week for 2 to 4 weeks. For maintenance, use once a week.

Special Precaution

After prolonged treatment with topical corticosteroids.

Adverse Reaction

Local irritation.

NIZORAL CREAM

Generic

Each gram contains 20 mg Ketoconazole which kills all common types of fungi.

Indication

Nizoral Cream is effective in treating all types of fungal infections, such as Ringworm, Tinea infection, Tinea Pedis / Athlete's foot and Tinea Cruris / Jock Itch. Nizoral Cream also acts very rapidly on itching and relieves redness, irritation and inflammation (swelling) due to fungal infection, because it penetrates the skin in as short as 1 hour and stays on the skin for as long as 16 hours. With Nizoral Cream, skin improvement can already be seen even before the first signs of healing are observed.

Dosage

Only once a day (1x) application of Nizoral Cream to the affected area is sufficient to treat all the common types of fungal infections.
For Tinea pedis (Athlete's foot), apply twice daily for 7 days.
Treatment with Nizoral Cream varies between 2 to 4 weeks depending on the type of skin infection.

Contraindication

Immediately after chronic use of local steroids; not for opthalmic use.

Adverse Reaction

Irritation and burning sensation.

Indication

Sun-damage wrinkles and Acne

Dosage

Apply a pea-sized amount before bedtime on the forehead, cheeks and chin and then spread thinly all-over the face.

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to Tretinoin. Do not use if you have acute dermatitis and eczema.

Special Precaution

Avoid direct & prolonged exposure to sunlight. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, angles of the nose and mucous membrane.

Adverse Reaction

Local erythema and peeling at the site of application.
